Andrew Rafferty has over 30 years experience as a photographer.
His work has been published in many books and magazines and is held in both public and private collections, notably by Ernst and Young whose European HQ on the South Bank in London displays no fewer than 113 of his images.
Of his project on the ancient monuments of Britain, published by Century Hutchinson, Robin McKie in The Observer wrote,
Rafferty's stark black-and-white photos are often strikingly beautiful, and catch the peculiar bleakness so distinctive of standing stones.
His artistic versatility is such that he was asked to make a personal response to the construction of the new City Hall designed by Foster and Partners. Here, the process of construction was as important as the finished building as he captured both the work place and the workers. At the end of the project he was invited to the opening ceremony performed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
He is currently engaged in a collaboration with poet Kevin Crosssley-Holland entitled Seahenge - A Journey, scheduled for publication at the end of 2018.
